Adjudication Response Clarifications for eTAR Providers

Electronic Treatment Authorization Request (eTAR) providers will not receive Adjudication Responses (ARs) unless the service category is either “Pharmacy” or “Vision,” and a valid fax number is included in the Fax Number field.
The 50-X and 18-X paper TARs will continue to receive faxed ARs if a valid fax number is entered in the Verbal Control Number field. If a fax number is not included, is incorrect, or there are problems with the fax line (for example; repeated busy signals), the AR will be mailed to providers. All other eTAR providers should inquire using the eTAR application for eTAR status. Providers may contact the Telephone Service Center (TSC) at 1-800-541-5555 for questions.
